I think the likelihood that the device ships 2-3 days before is pretty high, so that users receive it on or shortly after the 30th. I wouldn't hold my breath to have it any sooner, though, and you might want to accept the very real possibility that they will take more pre-orders than they can immediately fill at launch. I'm a little nervous about a potential Kindle-esque fiasco of having the device never been in stock for more than a few minutes, and having to wait months for my "pre-order" to ship. *fingers crossed*
