I installed those hacks while my K2US was at 2.5.6 with no issues. I'm still at 2.5.6, but I can't believe that 2.5.7 would break things.

If you're trying to connect to a Windows machine, you may need to search the developer forum for how to manually install the right usb networking adaptor. Simply installing the Windows Mobile Device Center doesn't always seem to work for everyone.
