I can give some technical background but do not have a solution.
- All files are stored in the global-database (global.db). In it are name , directory, size, author, etc, basically all data that is needed to show a book in the Browser (ctb).
- Apart from the global database there are also local databases in each directory (metadata.db). They contain the extra information that is needed to show the content of a book (with uds), like last page read, annotations, bookmarks, etc.

So if you want to move a file from one location to another you need to move the file itself and modify the global.db and the local databases in both source and destination directory.

The browser (ctb) can be changed to do this or it could be added to the Navigator of Iņigo Or a dedicated offline tool like the old iRex software could be created.

I will keep it in mind for future additions to dr1000-hackx, but can not tell you when I have time to implement it.

(If you want to move the file to an empty folder it should be possible to copy the metadata.db file along with the file.)
