Ed Lacy was the pseud. of Leonard S. Zinberg. The author wrote some hard-hitting mysteries during the '50s, with The Woman Aroused being the first of three mystery novels that started his career, though he had been writing short stories for a number of years.

Ed Lacy is fun to read due to the intense nature of his characterizations and his tight plotting.

If you find yourself enjoying this novel, there's a lot more here on MobileRead along with more great noir mysteries and hard-hitting crime novels.

I hope you enjoy it.
