Hmm, can't remember I ever stopped a series yet. But it would take more than one "flat" book to do. Everybody can make a mistake or just doesn't really have a clue what that next book has to say. But if the entire series goes down (in style, or quality), I think I'd just stop reading it until I got really bored and didn't have anything else to read. (which would be about never...)
