Does the Kobo Glo still use an internal microSD to hold firmware?

I'm basically trying to figure out how difficult it is to brick my Glo in the process of tinkering with it. Does the Glo still use an internal microSD for holding the firmware? Are there any other bits of writeable non-volatile storage hidden elsewhere on the board?

If it's just the internal microSD, it makes it much simpler to recover from a screw-up, which is why I'm wondering.

Thanks in advance for any help.
