I convert all manga to lrf, because this reduces the sizes considerably. 200MB into 20MB or less. And with even these sizes, a 2GB card gets filled up really quick.

Like nekokami said, there are 2 different type of scanlations. 1 is the original, noble scanlation project where groups are scanning and translates unlicensed manga into english so they get a broader audience, 2nd are those who don't care about (US) licensing and translates and release the manga.

So it's really a gray area, especially since there are official translated manga which gets retranslated because scanlation groups gave a better translation to the publisher. (GTO is an example of these)
