I know its an oldish thread but also wanted to add I did the same.
Got a Cybook which was a lovely bit of kit BUT no good really for PDFs. Sold it and got and Iliad and the iliad is AWSOME for PDFs. Of course some can be a little hard to read due to screen size but overall very impressive...
