...which clearly indicated the attitude was spoken by others, not necessarily one of our members. Should we assume those commenters actually read romance (or porn)? Anyway, it's probably fair to say that there are times when the boundaries between romance and porn get a bit... soft
... and there are times when those boundaries are wide as an ocean.
As the name suggests, porn is more about visual titillation than written eroticism, and though both can do the same job, they do so in physiologically different ways.
This is why I suggested color e-books and porn would go so well together, as color adds that much more impact to
images. I've also suggested elsewhere that images of movies and celebrities would be popular for a color e-book reader... I'll add sports figures, nature scenes and animals, and any other visual objects that people like to view (and collect) and carry with them. In my mind, I link porn with these other visual subjects, as opposed to linking porn with romance literature.
