There is lots to admire with the Kindle 2 -- 6 months later I am not having any second thoughts at all. Yet, I have acquired a second ereader -- the Kobo. Delivered door-to-door it's about half the price of the Kindle, delivers the same 2 week battery life, gives me direct access to library books, is considerably lighter and makes a nice backup. But it doesn't replace the Kindle 2.
