But where are these horses coming from? In the US, it's the old and sick who are slaughtered. Also unfortunately many race horses end up at the slaughterhouse. And there are several drugs that are legal for racing purposes. So would horse meat be healthier? Dunno. But as someone pointed out, horse meat has less fat than beef ...

Bottom line of this story though is mislabeling. However it happened, things other than beef were in a product that was supposed to just be beef.
