Thank you for your posts. If the Reader is consistently freezing with all types of e-books and a reset has not made any difference then the Reader will likely require service. It will also require service if the touch screen is not responsive or oversensitive. If you have only recently purchased the unit then you should be able to arrange a return depending on the retailer. Either way, give Sony product support a call and they can look into the matter for you:

All the problems I keep seeing is depressing. I am going to use rss feeds instead of my newspaper when my subscription runs out at the end of the year so I wanted a backup, and the T1 looked perfect.
