The Jinke manufactured readers (Hanlin, some BeBooks, some Astaks, etc) will read LIT format, but not always display it well.
They can be converted pretty easily using Calibre to Mobi, ePub, etc. as long as they aren't DRM'd. I wouldn't convert to text (TXT) as you'll lose the books formatting (italics, etc.).
