Good, free fonts to use in an ebook

Pocketbook readers have the lovely trait of allowing users to install their own fonts and use them for both FBReader (natively) and ADE (through a hack). However, being no typographist myself, I'd like to inquire about what fonts you use for your reading. In the selfish side, that would allow me to find a handsome font for my reader, and thinking less egocentrically (a hard thing for moi ), this could even work as a recopilatory of good free fonts for everyone to use.

What are the free fonts you like best?

Thanks in advance ^^
