Just thought I would provide a small update, boring as this long saga has become.

I have kinda given up waiting on my friend to do this for me. I ordered a "Learn to Solder" kit from an electronics store. I'll futz with that some, and get myself a real soldering iron when I'm done, then re-open the M92 and see what I can do.

If I completely fry it, I'm no worse off than I am now!
