Respectfully, I have to say that without reading them, you just don't know... May I suggest picking up one at your local supermarket to see for yourself. Horrible stuff, actually, as far as writing goes, but immensely popular with housewives! I've seen used bookstores that sell ONLY Harlequin Romances. They have THAT big a following!

There is, but it exists only in the mind of the individual. Some prefer writing, others prefer more visuals. It was written by Donatien Alphonse François, better known to the world as Marquis de Sade, who was actually sentenced to death in absentia for his writings! Although a film has been made of his most famous pornographic work, "Juliette," it never achieved the fame that his written work received.
