I saw this introduction topic mentioned in someone else thread, so I figured I should probably make use of it.
I'm a fairly avid reader, when I have the time. Although I really like having physical books, I picked up a iRex DR800. The big selling points were the tablet functionality and open-source development, which is probably what I'll be posting about mostly.
I'll read almost anything, but primarily SF/Fantasy. For example I have pretty much everything written by Neal Stephenson, Orson Scott Card, and Robert Jordan, and a decent selection from Stephen King. The last thing I read (pretty much all of today) was the last in the "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" trilogy by Steig Larsson.
And just a little about me: I'm a graduate student at Stanford working in robotics (Mechanical Engineering technically). I play rugby, bike commute, and like to cook
