I remember having read, that the zip algo used in 7zip produces generally smaller zip files than others do, while remaining unpackable i.e. compatible with other unzippers.
just to avoid confusion: YES I mean 7zip used for packing .zip and NOT .7z files.
may be worth a test at such final sizes.
