Lewis, Wyndham: Rotting Hill, v.1, 7 January 2009.
[Percy] Wyndham Lewis (1882–1957)
Rotting Hill (1951)
The Vorticist painter and novelist, Wyndham Lewis grumbles about the state of post-war Britain in these beautifully-written stories. Austerity, shortages, the poor quality of goods and the Health Service are some of his targets.
Rotting Hill is, of course, Notting Hill in disguise.
