I do think there is a HUGE market for a cheap no-frills tablet with wi-fi connection and bookreader software. I mean, we'd all like to drive the Rolls or the Merc all the time, but most of us have to make do with the 4 cylinder commuter car!
Yes, they are different devices, but there are folks who bought, or considered, the iPad, simply because for them it was the best tool for the job at the time. That may have changed for some people now, especially if you want a simple no-frills tablet for media consumption. Amazon has the brand name to make this work.
