Why rotate ?

Just zooming and panning works perfectly, but means a lot of use of the stylus.

No, I did not try the pdf-cutter (yet)

I was thinking.

Go to the first page (second here).
zoom so that it looks great.

Use the flip-bar. In my opinion the program should do something like this:

Is more than 40% and less than 60% of the page-with of the document (to the right) off screen, then shift to the right and show that part.
Otherwise go to the left side of the next page.
