If you build it around your elephippony, then disassemble it afterward, you won't have to try to move the carcass.
You were going to debone both critters first, right? Shouldn't you have a third critter in there, medium-sized between the elephant and the pony? Bison, maybe?
Not that I want anything to do with this project, being a vegetarian, but just speaking in the interests of... science, or something....
