Feodor Dostoevsky (or Fyodor), one of the two titans of Russian prose, first published
Notes From the Underground in 1864. It is regarded as a founding work of existentialism.

For me this is the most approachable Dostoevsky work. I was hooked from the first page. I started reading it about 21:00 and stayed up until I finished it. By Russian standards it is a short novel.
