I still find it weirdly interesting that so many are comparing non-eReaders to true eReaders like the Kindle family. I think iPad has its niche but cannot truly be compared to nor compete with the Kindle. As usercom wrote above, Kindle is a true, dedicated eReader. It's not trying to be anything else, other than what its original intention is. I think it's great that Amazon will continue to upgrade and improve its capabilities, but I hope they don't start trying to make the Kindle everything to everyone. I, too, have tried to read on my PC but don't find it a good experience. And the battery life is a great point, too. So much more I could write about, but I'll keep my comments short. I wish I could see more folks comparing iPad to its peers like other slate/tablet PCs.
