It's also very easy to run Linux from within Windows using a VM. If you plan on mucking about with Android devices but don't want to install it on one of your machines then simply download Virtualbox and use that to host a virtual linux install on your Mac or Windows machine.

Linux is just much better suited to the task. If anyone needs help getting a VM set up just PM me and I can walk you through it.
