Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes (1746-1828) was a Spanish painter and printmaker. He was court painter but also painted popular scenes and events. Much of the image we have now of the 18th-19th century in Spain is in "Goyesque" style, as shown by his paintings and drawings. He has been regarded both as the last of the old masters and as the first of the moderns.

"Los desastres de la guerra" (Disasters of War) is a series of 82 engravings (etchings) created in 1810-1815 and first published (posthumously) in 1863. They show harsh and and explicit scenes from the Spanish War of Independence (from France) and from the afterwar and subsequent absolutist regime. As a denunciation of the horrors of war these plates are unvaluable and unfortunately always current.

This is a "book" with no text, just the pictures (and their titles). The full book is slightly above the current upload limit of 20MB, so I had to split it in two parts
