Landscape orientation?

I'm nearly finished designing an ebook of poetry by Siegfried Sassoon. Some of the poems have long lines which break at different places depending on the ereader and the size of the font. I know how to indent the lines at the break, but I would like to give the reader a way of seeing them in landscape orientation so that the lines extend across the screen and don't break.

Is there a way of reading books with the iBooks app so that when the iPad is turned sideways the reading area extends across the page, rather than breaking into two columns?
