For publishers who want to make their titles part of Kindle, NBN has arranged a deal with Amazon in which the company will convert a pdf file or a physical copy of the book to the Kindle format at no charge provided the title has sold at least 50 copies on Amazon in the last year. Files or books must be submitted by Feb. 1; NBN will track Kindle sales and provide clients with a monthly sales report. NBN noted that it is in discussions with other e-book retailers--such as Sony, ebrary, OverDrive and Questia-- about possible deals.
