@wayspooled - Your list looks a lot like my shelf. I have several of the titles you mentioned, but some of the others I haven't read yet. I'll have to track them down.

Another that I found fascinating was Midway: The Battle that Doomed Japan, the Japanese Navy's Story by Mitsuo Fuchida and Masatake Okumiya.
