Well, the problem is now clear. The solution isn't.

First, you never said that the device wasn't recognized at all. We have been operating under the assumption that the problem is the card, but it is worse than that.

Your version of windows is not correctly reporting the drive information. For example,
Code:
DISK&V EN_SONY&
is supposed to be
Code:
DISK&VEN_SONY&
Because of that, calibre does not recognize the drive as a Sony drive.

I have no idea why this might be happening. Perhaps someone else will.
