I noticed that too. Somewhat worrying, as conceivably over a (very) long period of time your Kobo Reader's disk space might be entirely consumed by its image cache unless you manually purge it.

I imagine there is a hard limit on the amount of space the cache is allowed to monopolise (in the same way that web browsers have a max size for their offline cache), but still, I think that when the Kobo does its "processing new content" routine that it ought to perform a cache cleanup at the same time.
