I have a theory as to why so many of these reviews are popping up that compare dedicated ereaders with media tablets: The Kindle and its ilk are specifically designed to recreate an experience the reviewers are not familiar with, so they only see the device as another square handheld thing with a screen, and expect it to be for watching funny videos of cats.
