That's what I thought, but after reading your message:
To clarify:
calibre does not and will not ever have a "standard format"
Adding epub support to calibre means two things:
1) Implementing the *2lrf converters
2) Allowing the user to set epub as the desired output format instead of LRF in the GUI
I began to think otherwise.
I will wait for the new version to use the epub format, and do my best to donate as soon as possible.
As a strictly GUI user with no programming knowledge what you do amazes me!
