Have to agree. Perhaps, the Nook isn't for you. As far as a Kindle being an option, connection may not be a problem, but if you have issues with the Nook screen, forget the Kindle. Nook has a "whiter" background which makes the text pop, Kindle has a darker background which for me makes reading at night a strain.
