If T-Mobile USA's "end to phone subsidies" takes hold, you can bet good money that Apple will produce an inexpensive iPhone. (whether it is called an iPhone mini or not is debatable).
Apple will need to produce an iPhone that sells unsubsidized in the $250-$350 range.
