I can't remember reading it at school so I think this was the first time I have read it.
I felt sorry for poor old Boxer who thought everything would be alright if he just worked a bit harder and look what happened to him.
It does give you a picture of the state of the world after WWII and the perceived threat of Communism at the time.

I do remember reading The Catcher in the Rye and Lord of the Flies at school. Does anyone know if they are available as ebooks ?
