as far as i know, bookmarks in PDFs are Not part of the table of contents, it is something else entirely.
now i dont know if the prs 700 supports bookmarks, but i would assume you would have been able to find them if they were there, it would be best to ask for support for the feature in the next firmware
but as you said, i dont expect anything out of them.
