I should clarify that in my earlier post I was stating that I have the problem where the device fails to make it past the initial boot screen. I have no issue with operation following that (ie no crashes or freezes once actually using the device.)

the problem is infrequent but annoying as I will start the device without opening the cover to check if it has been booted and if I forget about it I believe that it chews through the battery life as it is still trying to boot. have had it go flat on me once as I did not notice the issue for a long time (18hrs?)

Not clear to me now if this is the same problem taspool is having or if there is another issue being described there.

guess I will run a check on the internal memory.
