Edith Wharton (1862–1937)
The Gods Arrive (1932)
This novel is a sequel to “Hudson River Bracketed” (--already uploaded) but can be read independently.
It continues the story of the writer, Vance Weston, who is now fairly successful, except at monogamy.
Edith Wharton’s later novels, set in Jazz Age Europe and America, may well appeal to those who like Scott Fitzgerald. This one may also be of interest because there is a discussion of the writer’s craft.
