Free book (Kindle/nook/Sony) - Touched By Angels [Contemporary Romance]

Touched By Angels by Peggy Webb, who recently had a now-expired Kensington mystery freebie Elvis and the Dearly Departed, is a contemporary (circa 1992) romance novel.

This was originally published as #538 in Bantam Books' "Loveswept" imprint, which I must say is an impressively long run for a low-budget paperback line. Assuming they put out one new book per month, that works out to roughly 45 years worth of continuous publishing.

Anyway, it's now being e-backlisted by the author herself via Smashwords and was free last week but now seems to have reverted in price to 99 cents.

However, Amazon, Sony, and B&N have not yet adjusted their freebie price-matching, so if you act fast, perhaps you can still pick it up at the promo price, and check out Webb's other romance backlist works for $2.99 or less at her Smashwords page if it turns out you like her writing.

Description
Sarah was a mother looking for a miracle; Jake was a tormented man looking to forget. She was raising a special child alone. He was testing the limits of recklessness on his motorcycle and in his plane. But when a little girl ran in front of his car, Jake risked his life for real in order to save her. Jenny – and her mother Sarah – tugged at his heart and made him want to be the hero Sarah imagined. But could such love ever silence the ghosts that haunted him? Could Sarah and Jenny be his second chance?
