Another couple shots in the dark (sorry in advance for EXTREME REDUNDANCY!)
1. Have you tried using different golden updates downloaded from different instances (i.e. the first time you downloaded it something went wrong)
2. Have you tried downloading the file through different computers (i.e. the computer downloads it wrong for some reason).
3. Have you tried the modified updates that worked for some people (I assume you did, but you never know)
4. Have you tried using someone's file that previously used it to successfully update correctly.
I just came back from a chainfire corruption, so there's hope. I was plugged into the computer while it was updating if that could possibly make a difference (it doesn't I know it).
