I am doing this o mac:
connect via your sFTP client to the kindle
You will end up in an empty dir (I believe it is something like /tmp/root/)
from there you go "down" to the root dir (/../).
From the root dir you browse "up" to:
/var/local/java/keystore/
Copy your keystores and presto..
