Shelley, Mary W: Frankenstein (Lightly Illustrated) v1.5 14 Apr 07

Here is Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. It was originally written in 1818 by Mary Shelley.

The cover painting is my own, based on the description and illustrations in the book (long hair, pathetic and sad--but basically more human-looking than the movies make him). Of course, I did have to add a very small Boris Karloff likeness to the cover painting.

This is one of those times I wish the Reader was color, because the color version of my painting shows much better contrast than this grayscale version.

The two illustrations inside are from the original 1831 version. Enjoy!
