How odd. I bought the 600 when it first came out and they didn't have any 600 covers at that point.

Note that wikipedia reports the dimensions of the 505 and the 600 this way:

PRS-505 specifications
Size: 175 × 122 × 8 mm (6.9" × 4.8" × 0.3")

PRS-600
Size: 175.3 x 121.9 x 10.2 mm (6.9" x 4.8" x 0.4")

So, a case for a 600 might be 2.2mm too "roomy" for a 505 - less than a 10th of an inch, but possibly still enough to keep the elastic from fitting snugly.

However, you could always add something behind the 505 to fill in the gap.
