Et pour Sony, c'est une migration qui semble assez général, Howard Stringer pensait ainsi, dans une interview, que si ils avaient fait le choix de technologies ouvertes, ils auraient pu vaincre Apple :

Le truc un peu comique, c'est que Sony vient d'imposer le Blu-ray Enfin, dans la même interview, il parle du DRM du PlayStation Network :
