While not available in the UK yet because of technical issues such as the necessity to strike deals with mobile phone companies to cover the cost of data use, geeks and bookworms alike are closely watching its developments from this side of the Atlantic. While the Sony Reader, which is on sale in the UK , may be visually similar to the Kindle, it does not have wi-fi capability.
