InDesign has this wonderful feature where it automatically encrypts the first 1024 bytes of font files in epub documents. Only the font files and in a way that is trivially reversible. I'm guessing the idea is to prevent users from just unzipping the epub file and extracting the fonts. calibre used to choke on such epub files, saying they were DRMed, it doesn't any more.
