They're targeting the netbook market and OLPC, but it does look like a very promising display. It has a huge leg up in that it uses today's manufacturing processes and is drop-in compatible with existing products.

I agree that the 3Qi technology show a lot of promise. In fact I'm holding out for a netbook with one of these displays. One limitation though is that they can only produce full color with the backlight. So we're still a ways off from having mass produced [high contrast] color
reflective displays.
