I was not nearly as thoughtful as Daffy - a client told me the kindle was the greatest thing since sliced bread, and I googled it, found out Oprah thought that, too, and I bought it. The feature I like the best, and I like it a lot better in the newer kindle, is the dictionary. All those words I never bothered to learn the precise meaning of, because I could get close enough through context, were now just a click away.

I only buy about 1/3 of my books from Amazon - mostly the more expensive, current fiction. Everything else comes from other ebook sites, or the library. The Sony lets you read library books without any extra steps, and I would see that as its biggest advantage.
