have you removed the external sd card with the recovery image before rooting?

also, factory initialisation / format internal sdcard may be useful after sd recovery to ensure everything is restored to factory default.

so I'd redo SD recovery, remove SD card and format / factory initialize.

AND - important! - install latest sony 1.04 firmware after sd recovery!!!
